Management
Graduates of the PhD program in Management are well-prepared for pursuing an academic career in research organizations or institutions of higher education, leading research teams, or holding positions in organizations dedicated to the advancement of human knowledge and state-of-the-art. They have expertise in research methodology, with particular attention to the specifics of Social Sciences, and are specialised in a chosen area of management or related fields. Successful completion of this scientific training enables graduates to continue with advanced research, with a focus on interdisciplinary approaches, or to enhance their managerial work through the application of evidence-based practices.
A graduate of the PhD program in Management is capable of the following:
- Independently identifying gaps in human knowledge and formulating research objectives, questions, assumptions, and hypotheses;
- Understanding the principles of scientific methodology, and independently proposing and assessing ways to fulfill research objectives, validate research assumptions, and address research questions and hypotheses through engagement with primary academic sources;
- Collecting, analyzing, and evaluating both structured and unstructured data from social and economic realities, applying appropriate methodological approaches, techniques, and tools, while utilizing modern communication and information technologies;
- Interpreting and discussing the outcomes of their original research within the context of the current state of knowledge, and formulating implications for theory, practice, or methodology;
- Clearly and effectively communicating their ideas in both written and spoken forms, efficiently presenting, arguing, and defending their research findings at professional forums.

PhD candidate chooses one of the two subjects on recommendation of a supervisor:

Optional courses:
Upon agreement with their supervisor the PhD candidate chooses maximum of three other courses relevant to the doctoral thesis:

Other optional courses may be chosen from the list of offered optional courses accredited for doctoral study of other faculties of VŠE.
PhD candidate performs other duties in accordance with the Study and Examination Rules and the Individual Study Plan, which also includes the Doctoral Standard.
