Information about the entrance examination
After successfully applying for admission and meeting all the requirements you will receive an invitation to sit the entrance exam.
The entrance exam date for all faculties: 16 June 2026
In extraordinary cases, it is possible to request and attend the entrance examination on an alternative date that will take place on 10 September 2026.
The alternative date is also meant for students who graduate after the deadline for applications (in the case of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting it is for students who graduate later than June 2026).
The alternative date of the examination is not meant as a make-up examination.
At the Faculty of Business Administration, there is no alternative entrance exams date, but there is a second admission period in the autumn of the same year.
Faculties with additional application periods have their own entrance exam date – please check the faculty website.
In justified cases, it is possible to request sitting the entrance exam via video call; in this case it is necessary to apply to the Dean of the faculty through the study coordinator in advance.
Each faculty has its own requirements for the entrance exams which usually consists of the exam of the major specialization. Some faculties also have a separate language exam. For more information see Information on the Entrance Examination or check below.
Faculty of Finance and Accounting
The faculty does not require applicants to take a foreign language exam. However, the discourse is conducted in English.
The Czech language proficiency of foreign applicants for the study programmes held in Czech will be examined during the major specialization subjects’ examination.
Faculty of International Relations
All applicants must pass the English entrance exam. Foreigners intending to study in the Czech programme must pass the English exam and written and oral Czech entrance exam.
Exemptions in the choice of language examination in the entrance procedure are authorised by the dean of the faculty who can give permission on the grounds of a written request.

Faculty of Business Administration
Applicants do not take the English entrance exam; the interview about the dissertation proposal (oral exam) is however led in the English language. Foreigners (does not apply for Slovak applicants) intending to study in the Czech language programme must pass the interview that is led both in English and Czech. Such applicants must be fluent in Czech.
Faculty of Informatics and Statistics
The entrance interview about the major specialization is led in English. For foreigners going to study in the Czech language programme the entrance interview about the major specialization is led both in English and in Czech.
Faculty of Management – Applicants do not take the English entrance exam; the entrance interview is led in English.
International candidates (does not apply for Slovakia) applying for the Czech study program must demonstrate active knowledge of the Czech language during the interview. The admission interview can be organized online.
